YP's high-quality after school programs engage young people from within their community and are responsive to input and feedback from youth leaders and the communities in which they live. Having recently completed a new strategic plan in 2015 entitled, 'Pathways to Success', Youthplaces has recommitted its collective resources and energy to walking alongside Pittsburgh's marginalized youth, guiding them along pathways that promote individual and community success. During the school year and summer Youthplaces provides several programs for in school youth between the ages of 12-18 (grades 6-12) which include YP Stars academic enrichment and tutoring, YP Fit health and wellness, YP Access college and career planning, YP 1st jobs workforce development, and YP leadership mentoring. Throughout the year these programs serve between 2000-4000 students across the city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.
