The mission of Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City (JAKC) is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. A comprehensive, equitable education is a catalyst to a choice-filled life. But for thousands of young people across Kansas City, this opportunity is drifting further from their reach. Stalled by financial insecurity, systemic injustice and inadequate access, today’s youth are being forced to abandon their hopes of attaining the “American” dream. Through JAKC children can reconnect to their potential and regain confidence for a bright future. With our partners, we can create economic opportunity and fuel a more equitable and just tomorrow. Because every child deserves to believe in themselves — and to have the tools, access, and opportunity to do it. The demand for real world learning in schools continues to grow. JAKC has a plan to support ALL students as they strive to fulfill their greatest potential, in and beyond the classroom. Our vision is to increase access to learning opportunities which promote economic mobility for ALL youth.
