The mission of the Homeward Animal Shelter, Inc. is to rescue, shelter, protect and rehome abandoned and lost animals in our community. Homeward Animal Shelter strives to educate the community in the proper and humane care of all animals in an effort to stop animal cruelty; and spay/neuter outreach to bring the awareness that spay/neuter procedures prevent animal over population and ultimately save animal lives. Homeward Animal Shelter microchips, spay/neuter and vaccinate all animals before adoption. In addition, as a community service, Homeward Animal Shelter provides microchip clinics to the public at a low cost and Homeward Animal Shelter community pantry provides dog/cat food to those who are unable to afford food for their animals. In 2018, Homeward Animal Shelter adopted over 1,073 animals into loving homes and microchipped 475 pets belonging to the families in our community.
