COMPLETE HEALTH IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM CHIP This 9-week program is designed to improve health by reducing blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol through the adoption of a plant-based diet and active lifestyle. Since 2011, over 700 people have participated in the program in Athens County. Additionally, Live Healthy Appalachia assisted in the establishment of CHIP programs across the region and county. During our fiscal year ended June 30, 2019, facilitators trained by Live Healthy Appalachia conducted 3 CHIP classes.
