About this organization
Mission
Rethreaded's mission is to renew hope, reignite dreams, and release potential of survivors of human trafficking locally and globally through business.
About
Rethreaded provides employment to women in the Jacksonville Florida area who are coming out of lives of addiction, violence, human trafficking, and prostitution. Many of these women leave prison with felony records which create significant challenges to employment. Rethreaded is a safe place where women are paid a living wage and employed in five different areas at Rethreaded: marketing, administration and finance, production, inventory, and sales. Locally, Rethreaded has directly helped 19 women in the Jacksonville area through employment at Rethreaded. Rethreaded also provides an initial 3-month paid job training program. After completion of the program, women continue employment at Rethreaded and specialize in one of the five areas listed above. During the training period, Rethreaded works with the employee to identify an area in the organization where she will thrive. The goal is to help employees develop valuable job skills and a renewed sense of confidence so they can become leaders and advocates in Rethreaded and the community.
