About this organization
Mission
To help create and sustain a vibrant and attractive urban setting to secure both the Arsht Center's future and that of the surrounding community.
About
Master plan: Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects completed an analysis and master plan for Town Square Neighborhood Development Corporation's ('TSNDC') downtown Miami neighborhood that calls for organized public open spaces, connectivity with nearby communities, balanced local density, dynamic mixed-use buildings and enhancement of existing landmarks. These design principles, applied systematically to both public and private investment in the area over time, will help assure a vibrant and prosperous setting for the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, its sister institutions and neighboring communities. The plan was written with collaboration from TSNDC, Arsht Center leaders, traffic engineers, community stakeholders, urban planners and public officials, among others. This aspirational blueprint is not a fixed prescription for the future. Rather, its goal is to put forth a long-term vision that evolves with the neighborhood and the input of community stakeholders, both public and private.
