Tutoring English to families. Geovisions sends short-term tutors abroad to live with families and tutor English to the children and parents. Tutors volunteer for 1, 2 or 3 month assignments. They live with families and embrace local culture. The outcomes are that children do better in school in their English classes and the ability to speak and read English improves. In many cases at least one parent can obtain a raise or better job. Many of these families would never be able to afford this one on one learning and most of them live in very rural areas of Jordan, Turkey, Thailand, Brazil, Chile and Ecuador.
