About

Trinity GAP Club is an all-girls club that functions through Trinity High School in Euless, TX. The mission of Trinity GAP Club is to give these high school girls a positive outlet for their time and to show them positive alternatives for their lives. One of their community service projects is volunteering with the Euless Animal Shelter and sponsoring as many animals as their funds allow to provide spay/neuter, shots, and other pet vetting costs. Adoption fees collected from sponsored pets recycle back into their program so they can continue to vet as many pets as possible. There are always unforeseen medical expenses, boarding, and other costs, so the program eventually grew into a community organization which is now also a separate 501(c)(3), Trinity GAP Rescue, and includes a fostering program, so dogs are not euthanized and pets needing special care can get it in loving homes. TGR has made a huge difference in lowering the euthanasia rate of this shelter, and it is a fact that many dogs would not be alive today if not for their efforts. To pay for the many medical needs of shelter dogs, TGR is part of North Texas Giving Day and is a charity of Amazon Smile, Kroger’s, and Tom Thumb. We also host an annual April Walk a Thon at Trinity High School to raise funds for shelter pets.
