WORKFORCE TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR UNDERSERVED ADULTS IN THE BUFFALO/NIAGARA REGION OF NEW YORK STATE, INCLUDING LITERACY TUTORING, AND MARKET-RELEVANT TRAINING IN JOB CATEGORIES THAT HAVE REASONABLE CAREER ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, SUCH AS ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS TECHNICIANS, AND PHARMACY TECHNICIANS. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE TRAINING TO SUPPORT GRADUATES TO ATTAIN JOBS WITH FAMILY SUSTAINING WAGES AND THE POSSIBILITY OF CAREER ADVANCEMENT; 2. HANDS-ON ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE BUFFALO/NIAGARA REGION OF NEW YORK STATE. THE PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS, AND OFFER COURSES IN MUSIC, DANCE, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND FINE ARTS. THE GOAL OF THE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM IS TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL WITH PLANS FOR COLLEGE/CAREERS.
