Accomplishments
- Triple f empowerment, inc has one program that has served over 2500 children in the new york city metro area, ms. steph's science club (ssc). ssc provides students with positive educational experiences that will prepare them for future science courses while gaining and cultivating a deep passion for learning. ssc is comprised of 4 services; summer science club, saturday science club, tutoring and traveling science teacher initiative. through the traveling science teacher initiative, we provide age-appropriate, hands-on steam workshops. we are currently partnering with 10 locations and organizations that serve the ny metro area. those organizations include; budding blossoms child care, bronx house inc, harriet tubman learning center, scan-usawa beacon, harlem commonwealth council, harlem children's zone and several others. we have experienced significant growth in all of the services we provide as well as having received a columbia community service grant. we increased the capacity of our summer science club by 50%. we increased our saturday science club capacity by 100% through our funding from the columbia community service partnership. we are becoming well known in the harlem community for providing engaging, age-appropriate, hands-on steam education to youth.
