Platte Community Memorial Hospital, Inc operated a 17-bed critical access hospital, and a 48-bed long-term care facility located in Platte, SD, and rural health clinics located in Platte, Geddes, and White Lake, SD. Provision of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services in Platte, SD, and the surrounding area. Total patient days were 354; total swing bed days were 680; total nursing home days were 15,925. Clinic visits totaled 10,964. To fulfill its mission of community service, the health center provides care to patients who meet certain criteria under its patient assistance policy without charge or amounts less than its established rates. This amount excludes expenses associated with a number of additional community services provided by the health center. PHC attested to the program year 2018 of meaningful use. This attestation to CMS states PHC will meet and comply with the requirements for meaningful use. With this, PHC has enhanced patient care by implementing an electronic health record system as well as the many patient safety measures that comes with it.
