The organization provides services to survivors of sexual assault in the Silver City, NM and in the region of southwestern New Mexico.

About

The agency provides crisis as well as long-term services to survivors and their families seeking healing from sexual violence. A 24- hour crisis hotline is offered to provide immediate assistance to primary and secondary sexual violence survivors. There are trained volunteer advocates on call 24/7 for crisis services such as accompaniment to law enforcement, accessing immediate resources, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners exams, and any other crisis intervention necessary to assist the caller. Personnel follow-up with clients that have received crisis services to assure their current and long-term needs are met. Other services include Emergency hotel accommodation, bus passes, emergency food items, assistance with various governmental applications, court accompaniment, advocacy, case management, counseling and referrals for relevant community support and resources. Personnel provide training to community members and agencies covering the various issues related to sexual violence.
