Mission

ACEH Mission: To provide dynamic leadership to unite Anchorage in making homelessness rare, brief and one-time. The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) began in 2004 as a grassroots collaboration with homeless service providers working together to solve homelessness. Since its founding, ACEH has grown to be the lead convener around homelessness in Anchorage and continues to grow as the system backbone for the Homeless Prevention and Response System. ACEH leads the work around Anchored Home, the Anchorage community plan to solve homelessness in partnership with those with lived expertise, providers, government partners, private and philanthropic partners, and the public.

About

The Alaska Homeless Management Information System (AKHMIS) is a statewide database used by service providers serving people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. ACEH works with the Alaska Coalition on Housing and Homelessness to administer the system. Both coalitions have contracted with the Institute for Community Alliances (ICA) to act as the lead agency responsible for the system. ICA provides trainings and licenses for users of the system. Last year, there were an average of 16 trainings given and an average of 8 new licenses issued per month.
