First Place’s mission is to create a supportive, sustainable community where adults with autism and other neurodiversities live and thrive with pride, purpose and endless possibilities. Our vision is to ensure that housing and community options are as bountiful for adults with autism and other neurodiversities as they are for everyone else.

First Place Apartments comprise 55 studio, one-, two- and four-bedroom units for approximately 80 residents with autism and other neuro-diversities. Located in the heart of the Phoenix urban area, this state-of-the-art residential property is designed to be community connected and transit oriented, with a variety of supports and amenities. The environment is specifically designed to reduce distractions and to promote safety and security. Residents may choose to live by themselves or with a roommate. Trained support staff is on-site to provide individualized supports that range from guidance in life skills and employment/volunteering to community life and health and wellness. Life skills training includes transportation access/navigation, meal planning, social integration and career development.
