Mission

To improve the community life of the Twin Towers neighborhood and Dayton's east side through sustainable urban agriculture, urban land restoration and stewardship, and community education.

About

Mission of Mary Cooperative managed over 4.25 acres of urban land in Twin Towers, a low-income neighborhood in Dayton. We installed 3 beehives to provide valuable ecosystem service in and around the neighborhood. We planted over 350 native trees and wildflowers in the gardens. We cleared over 4,500 square feet of invasive species and began repopulating the area on the south side of the Silver Ln. garden by expanding the paw paw grove. We created 22 community garden beds and 20 backyard garden beds, increasing the available garden space in the neighborhood by 1,880 square feet.
