About
Beyond Carnism was active in outreach, education, and service. During 2016, the founder, Dr. Melanie Joy, traveled extensively speaking about carnism and providing information about the benefits of living peacefully by rejecting violence and oppression of non-human animals. In 2016, Beyond Carnism began training in vegan advocacy through the Center for Vegan Advocacy where Dr. Joy conducted training in effective advocacy and communication. Additionally, Beyond Carnism worked with VEBU, Germany's leading vegan organization to raise awareness of carnism among German-speaking countries and the development of a flyer to raise awareness about carnism.
