The Innovation Project develops initiatives based on its mission and beliefs in order to facilitate improvements within North Carolina's educational systems. Current initiatives include the Restart Schools Collaborative for low-performing schools, the Virtual Academy Collaborative for online supplemental learning materials, the Homeschool Initiative to re-engage and involve homeschool families, the Innovative Classrooms Program to provide professional development to teachers, and the NSCU Teaching Scholars to establish a scholarship program for future teachers.
