EEE RESOURCE CENTER INC IS SET UP TO ASSIST WITH THE EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THIS ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED THROUGH ON-SITE WORK PROGRAMS, CLASSES OFFERING LIFE SKILLS LESSONS AND THE OPERATION OF AN ACTIVITIES CENTER.

EDUCATIONAL CENTER - EACH OF OUR 17 ASSOCIATES HAS BEEN THEIR OWN SUCCESS STORY; HOWEVER, ONE IN PARTICULAR STANDS OUT ABOVE ALL THIS YOUNG LADY CAME TO THE CENTER LAST SEPTEMBER AGING OUT OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND NOT KNOWING HER ALPHABET OR NUMBERS; AFTER A YEAR OF WORKING WITH HER, SHE NOW KNOWS ALL HER ALPHABET, IS PUTTING LETTERS TOGETHER TO MAKE WORDS AND CAN COUNT TO 20. THIS YOUNG LADIES FAMILY WAS TOLD SHE WAS INCAPABLE OF LEARNING. LIFESKILLS CENTER - I CANT PICK JUST ONE SUCCESS STORY IN THIS AREA, ALL THE ASSOCIATES HAVE GROWN SO MUCH IN THIS AREA. MOST OF THEM HAD NEVER BEEN ASKED TO HELP IN THEIR HOME ENVIRONMENT AND KNEW LITTLE ABOUT BEING ABLE TO PICK MEALS THEY LIKED, LET ALONE BEING ABLE TO PREPARE THEM. EACH ASSOCIATE HAD TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO USE BASIC HOUSEHOLD ITEMS; HOWEVER, NOW EACH PARENT/GUARDIAN HAS COMMENTED ON THE DEGREE OF INDEPENDENCE AND INITIATIVE THEY EACH SHOW AT HOME. VOCATIONAL CENTER - THE MOST AMAZING THING THAT HAS BEEN WITNESSED IN THIS AREA, IS THE CARING, UNDERSTANDING AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT HAVE BEEN FORMED BY EACH OF THE ASSOCIATES. NOT ONLY DO THE INSTINCTIVELY KNOW THE OTHERS WEAKNESSES, THEY EACH IN THEIR OWN WAY TAKE OVER FOR WHICHEVER ASSOCIATE IS IN NEED; WITHOUT THE STAFF BEING MADE AWARE OF IT. IF I HAD ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE IT IT WOULD BE EQUALITY.
