In 2018, Greater Washington Partnership continued making progress on our two strategic initiatives. Regional mobility - In November we released the Capital Region Blueprint for Regional Mobility, an end-to-end action plan to transform our region's transportation system. The blueprint contains solutions and specific actions and recommendations that the region's stakeholders should take to transform the transportation system across modes and jurisdictional borders. Additionally, the partnership's work with the Metronow Coalition helped facilitate the tri-jurisdiction coordination needed to secure annual, dedicated funding for Metro. Skills and talent - In June we launched the Capital Colab, an action-oriented partnership that brings together the leaders of the region's top academic institutions and businesses to make the Capital Region a leading global hub for innovation. The Colab will reinforce the value of strong partnerships between academic institutions, industry, government, and connect the region to bring innovations to life.
