About this organization
Mission
To provide support and community for men with cancer.
About
Idaho2fly uses the shared experience of fly fishing, related programs and activities and the healing power of outdoor sports to help men with cancer rediscover the strength of open communication and welcoming relationships. The Idaho2fly experience begins with an expense paid three day fly fishing retreat with supportive volunteers and facilitated discussions and continues with year round community building activities involving volunteers, former guests and their families. Community building activities undertaken in 2016 included a reunion picnic, meetings and classes (fly fishing 101) for guests and volunteers. Approximately 14 men attended each of two retreats in 2017 (approximately 28 men overall) and approximately 70-80 guests, former guests, volunteers and families attended the 2017 reunion picnic.
