Accomplishments
- In 2018 we created and successfully piloted our new online teacher training program. our experience has demonstrated that when we train classroom teachers, we positively impact the mental health wellness of innumerable students for the remainder of that teachers career and so our teacher training program is designed to conveniently fit into a teachers busy schedule, while providing them with lifetime access to all the curriculum and resources that they need to effectively support students. in 2018 we completed the creation of our online program, and successfully piloted it with 12 teachers at simis elementary school in the madison district, phoenix. we then launched it publicly in january 2019. between january and june of 2019 we awarded 42 scholarships to this program, impacting 13 different schools. - In the fall of 2018 we began the process of creating our new mentorship program for graduates of our foundations for mindful teachers online course. this advanced training was piloted with our graduate teachers at simis elementary in the spring of 2019. this mentorship helps graduates to create a plan to implement and sustain mbsel in their work and lives. between our foundations and advanced program, our overarching goal is to create wrap-around, comprehensive training that ensures sustainability. - During the 2018-2019 fiscal year, we also provided 16 weeks of on campus lessons to 380 k-12 students. these lessons supported some of the teachers who were taking our online teacher training program, who requested classroom modeling services of our k-12 lessons. Expenses 0.
