About this organization
About
Our primary focus is to provide a house of worship to our members and to enable them to practice their faith according to the customs of the Orthodox Jewish Religion. In addition we provide the following services: = Providing food for needy people who are community based. Every Thursday night groups of students volunteer to pack and deliver baskets of food to needy people in our local area. The food is either purchased at a discount or donated by local merchants. We operate a food pantry where needy people can come and “take" canned goods as they need. This pantry is in a discreet area to enable the people to get the food without embarrassment. - Support a program that works with teens at risk providing mentoring and counseling to these children. - Support a wedding hall that allows needy families to make a wedding at minimal cost. To date they have sponsored over 2000 such weddings and are in the process of building another such hall in the near future.
