Mission
At Project Glimmer, it is our mission to inspire every girl to envision and realize an empowered future. We are a national nonprofit organization serving over half a million teenage girls and women, 86% of whom are young women of color. Project Glimmer works in all 50 states through partnerships with 1,000+ organizations including foster care, homeless, crisis care, and youth services. Through our programs including Gifts + Goods, Day of Empowerment and Empower Hour and Career Coaching, we are dedicated to helping end gender and racial inequality.

Project Glimmer seeks to empower low-income women and teenage girls around the country by encouraging acts of appreciation, including gift giving, reciprocity, and acts of kindness. The organization collects and donates gifts for holidays such as Mothers Day, Prom, Christmas, birthdays and other events. The organization also hosts a series of events called Work Your Magic, a day of empowerment bringing confidence, inner beauty and real life career skills to foster and at-risk girls striving towards graduation.
