ACUS FLAGSHIP TRAINING & RESEARCH PROGRAM (NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV)THE ACUS FLAGSHIP TRAINING AND RESEARCH PROGRAM ORGANIZES AND DELIVERS AN INTENSIVE 300-HOUR MILITARY MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE COURSE AND CONDUCTS SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE IN THE U.S. MILITARY. OUR TEAM TRAINS QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PERSONNEL FROM ALL FIVE USAF FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AND THE SOUTHERN NEVADA VA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN COMPREHENSIVE ACUS MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE, WHICH HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO TREAT MILITARY-UNIQUE PAIN AND STRESS. IT IS HEADQUARTERED AT NELLIS AFB IN NEVADA. IN 2018, ACUS GRADUATED ITS THIRD COHORT OF PHYSICIANS AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS. ACUS-TRAINED DOCTORS HAVE INCORPORATED MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE INTO THEIR DAILY CLINICAL WORK; OUTCOMES INCLUDE 45% REDUCTION IN OPIOID PRESCRIPTIONS, IMPROVED PATIENT SYMPTOMS, AND COST-SAVINGS OF $250,000.
