The organization increases the capacity of teachers, administrators, and leaders to seek, identify, and demand the highest-quality instructional materials. Since its inception in 2014 through December 31, 2017, the organization operated under the fiscal sponsorship of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, a section 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code. The two parties entered into a tax-free net asset transfer agreement whereby the organization became an independent organization, effective January 1, 2018.
