Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of our community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Our vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.
About
Trans Lifeline answered 21,044 crisis calls from 7,580 unique callers in 2018, a nearly 12% increase over 2017's 18,822 calls answered from 7,171 unique callers.In 2018, Trans Lifeline distributed $117,263 in small grants to 334 individuals for updated legal identification documents, name and gender changes, passports, and other assistance, as well as $13,452 in grants to smaller service organizations, a 156% increase in service over $51,128.50 granted to 159 individuals in 2017.
