Animal Equality was founded in 2006 by Sharon Núñez, Jose Valle and Javier Moreno with one mission: to protect animals. The enthusiasm for and commitment to that mission has only grown since then and has enabled us to deliver impactful results for animals.
Today, Animal Equality is one of the most effective advocates for farmed animals in the world, working on four continents on behalf of farmed animals. We are working in countries where there is the most opportunity to create lasting, systemic change for animals. UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATIONS: Our brave team of investigators use trailblazing techniques to bring to light the horrific realities that animals face. This information is used to inform consumers about the abusive practices common in factory farms.
EDUCATION: Our outreach efforts help bring awareness to millions of people all around the world. We educate them on the reality that farmed animals face on a daily basis and help them choose more compassionate food options.
CORPORATE OUTREACH: Through our corporate outreach department, we work with some of the world’s largest food businesses to implement meaningful animal protection policies. These policies reduce the suffering of millions of animals every year.
LEGAL ADVOCACY: Animal Equality works with law enforcement agencies and state and federal governments to hold animal abusers accountable and to help make improvements to laws that benefit animals.
