Capital IDEA Houston's mission is to lift working adults out of poverty and into living wage careers through education. Capital IDEA Houston serves the community by acting as a bridge connecting committed, yet underemployed people to employers in need of highly skilled workers. Our innovative program fulfills two community needs-first, the need for low-income, underserved adults who need the opportunity to receive the training that enables them to escape the cycle of poverty; and second, the need of the local business community to have access to a well-trained, diverse, locally-based workforce to fill high-demand jobs in healthcare, technology, and manufacturing.
