Mind&Melody transforms lives through the love of music and community one mind at a time. We implement novel music programs at healthcare facilities, nursing homes, day care centers and assisted living facilities to improve the quality of life for individuals with or without neurological impairments like dementia. The programs are highly individualized to reach and engage different levels of dementia and musical ability. We have identified an untapped potential in people experiencing Alzheimer's and other neurological impairments that go beyond just passively listening to music. Our programs are socially, cognitively, physically and creatively stimulating for participants. Mind&Melody provides the opportunity for community involvement while simultaneously raising awareness about neurological impairments, such as dementia. Team members are given the opportunity to learn about the daily lives of participants and interact with them through music, building lasting intergenerational relationships.
