About
The primary program is the annual Dominican Day Parade, which is held on the 2nd Sunday of August every year, along Sixth Avenue, Avenue of the America in New York City showcasing Dominican culture and accomplishments. The parade attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators and over 10,000 marchers and approximately 50 floats. In-kind media promotion from TV and radio, along with in-kind donations of airline tickets contributes to the marketing of the parade and the organization provides internships opportunities and scholarships to students of Dominican heritage. In 2018 $49,000 were provided to 28 students.
