Eight highly-qualified teaching artists provided over 1,000 hours of intensive music training on string instruments, primarily the violin, viola, cello, and double bass, to over ninety youth, ages 6-16, from low-income families at seven different locations. Classes were held five days a week for over thirty-three weeks at schools and community centers. Students performed over ten community-based concerts throughout the year and participated in guest artist visits and master classes.
