Mission

The mission of Genesis is to provide transformative STEAM learning experiences through art museum-integrated STEAM innovation labs, preparing students with the 21st century skills necessary to succeed in education, employment and life. Genesis believes that every child should have the opportunity to learn the essential 21st century skills that are necessary for future academic and career success.

About

Genesis continued to expand and grow partnerships, establishing partnerships with 10 large youth-serving organizations and school districts. The Genesis Girls-and-Tech team won the 2018 Founders Bootcamp competition at the Girls Lounge at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and were awarded $50,000 to bring their design for a wearable personal safety device to market. Genesis developed the first phase of a national network of museum-based STEAM innovation lab programs through a partnership with ArtLab+ at the Hirschhorn Museum in Washington D.C. Genesis launched an expanded partnership with Youth Policy Institute in Los Angeles to pilot the new 'Innovator iLab Experience' curriculum.
