Building a stronger, more equitable New York City by investing in public housing communities. The Fund for Public Housing, Inc., D/B/A Public Housing Community Fund, is a public-private partnership founded as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 2016 to support the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and its residents. In September 2021, the Fund’s Board of Directors approved a new Strategic Framework, which will drive its Strategic Plan from 2021-2025. In 2023, the Fund launched its new brand and name, Public Housing Community Fund, reaffirming our mission to support more than half-million New Yorkers living in public housing communities.
