About
We served 160,589 home-delivered meals in 2018 to 1,259 individuals. Our service is to provide both nutrition and a daily contact with each client to assure their well-being and assist them in their ability to continue to live independently. In June we did a satisfaction survey (45% return). We found that 88% of the survey respondents felt our services helped them maintain their independence. 96% said the daily meal has helped them maintain or improve their general health and 47% said the volunteer who delivered their meal was the only person they saw during the day. We served 62,710 congregate meals to 521 individuals in our dining centers in 2018. Our service is to provide a nutritious meal and a setting for senior socialization. From our June satisfaction survey (with a return rate of 53%), we found that 67% of the respondents reported the meal was their most important source of nutrition for the day and 84% indicated that they felt they maintained or improved their health by attending and eating at the dining center.
