Bilingual Certified Diabetes Educators work within clinics to provide culturally appropriate, medically accurate education. Riverview provides bilingual group education at Riverview and at a collaborating clinic. This program uses peer support and in-depth conversations that follow a six-week curriculum to improve diabetes self-management for participants and their families. Healthy Habits for Life is an intensive, year-long lifestyle change program to prevent diabetes and reverse prediabetes. This program uses a CDC-recognized curriculum and certified lifestyle coach to help participants gain healthy habits, build peer support, and lose weight.
