Building Community through the Arts. The Pence Gallery’s mission is to serve the community through offering high caliber art exhibits, supporting the development of local and regional artists, and providing educational programs to visitors of all ages. The Pence fulfills this mission by creating innovative exhibits of contemporary art, which explore social, cultural, and political concepts and messages.[1]

Pence Art Gallery July 2018 - June 2019 (Fiscal Year 2019) Natalie Nelson, Director During fiscal year 2019, the Pence Gallery served 15,250 people onsite and offsite, through gallery visits, outreach festivals, and events. In our youth programs, we served 913 students, parents & teachers. The Pence Gallerys civic arts grant project called Make Stuff offered family audiences additional opportunities to learn more about the arts through hands-on art workshops, talks, demonstrations, and more, for 474 children and adults. Through our ambitious exhibit program, we offered 447 artists an opportunity to exhibit in solo and group exhibits. This year, we had 406 people renew their membership to the Pence.
