2018 state summer games - 2,500 special olympic athletes participated in the three (3) day event that included competition in eleven (11) sports: aquatics, bocce, bowling, cycling, gymnastics, power lifting, track & field, roller skating, tennis, volleyball and soccer. The 3 day event involved over 2,200 coaches, chaperones and volunteers. The event included the healthy athletes initiative that provided over 800 health assessments and encourages individuals to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
