About
Friends of Farmworkers supports low-wage workers as they pursue economic and social justice. We do this through the provision of legal services, education, and advocacy designed to empower the most vulnerable workers among us to earn a living wage and to ensure that they and their families have the opportunity to lead productive, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Our current program priority areas are focused on employment issues such as unpaid wages, unsafe work conditions, retaliation against workers, and discrimination in employment and housing. We also provide immigration legal services to help remove the fear of immigration-related retaliation that discourages many workers from reporting abusive and unlawful conduct. We provide direct services in these areas and also participate in litigation that has nationwide impact. Our education and outreach programs help workers make informed decisions about their employment, protect themselves from exploitation, and improve the economic stability of their families.
