Mission

Seeking to put God's love into action, Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity, brings people together to build affordable homes, communities and hope.

About

In 2018, six low-income families achieved homeownership through CDHFH's housing program and three were in process at year end. These homes were built in partnership with the future homeowner earning their sweat equity hours, but also in partnership with the Kent County community to provide volunteer labor and financial support. CDHFH's program is considered 'a hand up, not a hand out.' See Schedule O for additional information on our program. Constructed homes are sold to the selected families at cost with a zero percent interest mortgage. Mortgage payments are then paid to CDHFH to continue to help fund future homes.
