Charles County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center provides long-term care and rehabilitative services to the residents of Southern Maryland. Total resident days of 53,735 equate to an average of over 147 residents on any given day out of a capacity of 155 with a total of 262 residents being admitted in fiscal year 2018. Most of these residents are admitted for rehabilitative services after discharge from an acute-care setting. The remainder are admitted for long-term care on a medically-necessary basis. The majority of long-term care residents are indigent and qualify financially for the medical assistance program.
