The organization provides specialized medical and psychosocial end-of-life care to Montgomery County, Maryland residents who are living with a life limiting illness. Patients (and their families) are cared for in homes, extended care facilities and at Casey House, our acute care facility. Our teams of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, spiritual counselors, social workers, certified nursing assistants, complementary therapists, bereavement counselors and volunteers work together to provide comfort care customized for each patient. In 2018, Montgomery Hospice served 2,304 patients and their families. Among the total patients served, 29 were children and 80 were either uninsured or underinsured. Casey House, is the only all-hospice acute facility in Montgomery County.
