Mission

Ivymount's mission is to offer a model creative learning environment where all students can achieve their highest level of development; to support families in their efforts to make well-informed decisions for and with their children; and, to maintain a leadership role in the community and in the broad field of special education so that Ivymount's considerable expertise is widely accessible. Since its inception, Ivymount has consistently focused on meeting the needs of those students for whom limited educational and therapeutic options exist. The complexity of their needs requires a program modeled on the integration of therapeutic services, differentiated instruction, and the provision of tools and strategies that prepare students for independent, productive futures of their own choosing.

About

Secondary - Ivymounts secondary school offers a diploma track for students in grades 9 through 12 and a certificate track for students ages 14 through 21. Students are assigned to a classroom model based on their individual academic and adaptive needs. Each classroom model is designed based on Ivymount schools long history of providing individual services based on the needs of the community. To help every student achieve his/her highest level of development, we aim to provide individualized, evidence-based services for each student through a partnership with Ivymount school team members, our local education agencies, our students and their families.
