Mission
Since 1981, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore has provided nutritious food to neighbors in need, distributing more than 400 million meals to fight hunger and food insecurity across Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. The organization collects, stores, and distributes food through partner agencies and direct programs to support individuals and families facing hunger.

Norfolk food distribution - during FY19, the Norfolk warehouse and our partner agencies provided over 15,521,375 million pounds of food and grocery products (equivalent to 12,934,427 million meals) to more than 177,000 individuals in the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and the counties of Isle of Wight, Southhampton, and Sussex.
