Mission

The Maryland State Boychoir, Inc. (MSB) was established in 1987 and is devoted to the artistic development of Maryland boys. MSB's mission is to provide opportunities for talented boys from all backgrounds to develop their musical and social skills through a rigorous program of instruction and choral performances. MSB also strives to serve the broader community by offering facilities for the arts, children and young people, religious groups (including the congregation of St. Matthew United Church of Christ, the original owners of the Maryland Boychoir Center for the Arts), and local residents - particularly the Mayfield community.

About

The thirty members of the tour choir toured Newfoundland and Nova Scotia in July 2019, while the sixty members of the concert choir traveled to Toronto and Ottawa, with stops at Niagara Falls and Western PA. Additionally, during the fall and spring weekend tours, MSB choristers performed throughout the mid-Atlantic region. The young men's chorus journeyed to Savannah and Hilton Head Island in February 2019. Through touring, MSB choristers continue to develop a high level of self-motivated learning, professionalism, and self-discipline while demonstrating maturity and responsibility as performers.
