Public rowing opportunities & Capital Juniors Rowing: Provide sweep and sculling rowing opportunities to the public. This requires maintaining boats (rental, lease, insurance, and storage). This program provides public education to approximately 75 individuals. Capital Juniors is a competitive rowing and academic program that builds in Washington, DC's young people discipline, fitness, camaraderie and stewardship for the Anacostia River. Through our program, DC youth, especially those from low-income areas, have access to rowing and academic support and can apply the lessons they learn in excellence toward successful futures.
