Mission

ITIC's mission is to encourage pro-growth tax, trade and investment policies in non-OECD countries by facilitating mutual understanding and trust between business and government through the ITIC neutral table, based on high quality analysis

About

Africa projects - ITIC began its work in Africa in 2000 with a series of indirect tax studies and in-country workshops in Kenya and Ghana. The Africa tax dialogue, which ITIC founded in 2010, focuses on tax coordination within regional economic communities (RECs) in Africa. It brings together the secretariats from the East African Community (EAC), Southern African Development Community (SADC), West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to discuss their own tax coordination as well as the best practices of others. ITIC also convenes issue- and country-specific workshops with finance and revenue officials across the continent. In early 2018, ITIC conducted two such workshops in Tanzania and Mozambique.
