More about this organization
Mission
Since National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC), was founded in 1993, its coalition of national and community-based organizations and individuals provide strong advocacy, representation, and training for thousands of consumers, community leaders, and social service/health providers. NAHC envisions an international community where housing is a human right and HIV disease ends. It is clear that housing improves health outcomes of those living with HIV disease and reduces the number of new HIV infections. The end of HIV/AIDS critically depends on an end to poverty, stigma, housing instability, and homelessness.
About
Policy education - NAHC provides information to HIV/AIDS housing providers, consumer policy makers and other constituencies about housing's role in better individual and community health outcomes. NAHC works both individually and in coalition with partners from the HIV/AIDS and housing communities to promote policy imperatives recognizing housing as a component of HIV health care.
