About

The First Tee of Phoenix - Thunderbird Junior Golf Foundation actively supports the First Tee of Phoenix, created for the purpose of providing affordable access to golf and golf learning facilities for young people in Maricopa County from all walks of life, particularly those who otherwise might not have an opportunity to play. The First Tee of Phoenix currently impacts over 120,000 youths each year at 15 facilities and 142 schools as part of the national school program outreach initiative with allied organizations. It was designed to serve as a place for participants to learn valuable life skills and character lessons through creative activities and instructional programs that incorporate the fundamental teachings of golf. The goal of the First Tee is to incorporate responsibility, courtesy, honesty and integrity into the daily lives of those who participate. By using the fundamentals of golf, the First Tee equips youth with the skills needed to follow their dreams, advance academically and athletically, strengthen their social abilities and become productive members of their local community.
