MSM - TRANSFORMING FROM HIV PREVENTION TO PREVENTION INNOVATION - TO ADDRESS RACIAL AND ETHNIC HIV-RELATED HEALTH DISPARITIES AND IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES AMONG MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN (MSM) OF COLOR, HEALTHHIV LEADS A MULTI-FACETED TRAINING AND TRANSFORMATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO TRANSFORM, STRENGTHEN, AND EXPAND THE WORKFORCE CAPACITY OF HEALTH DEPARTMENTS AND THEIR LOCAL COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS (E.G., CLINICS, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES PROVIDERS, PATIENT NAVIGATORS, SOCIAL VENUES, AND OTHERS THAT INTERFACE WITH MSM OF COLOR). THIS APPROACH, COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS TRANSFORMATION ASSISTANCE (TA), STRENGTHENS HEALTH DEPARTMENTS AND THEIR COMMUNITY PARTNERS, INCREASES CAPACITY TO PLAN, IMPLEMENT AND SUSTAIN COMPREHENSIVE PREVENTION AND CARE, AND IMPROVES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES MODELS ADDRESSING THE HOLISTIC NEEDS OF MSM AT RISK FOR AND LIVING WITH HIV INFECTION. THE INNOVATIVE TRANSFORMATIONAL PROGRAM INCLUDES: (1) INFORMATION REFLECTIVE OF THE MOST ADVANCED HIV-RELATED SCIENCE AND PRACTICE; (2) STATE-OF-THE-ART TRAINING CULMINATING IN A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION/TRANSFORMATION; AND (3) TAILORED TA TO FACILITATE PS15-1509-FUNDED HEALTH DEPARTMENTS AND THEIR PARTNERS.
