About
Mission: Arts education and vocational guidance; a) Classroom Education Program: Weekly afterschool art classes with CA State Content Standards for Saint Brigid School and SF Montessori Academy; b) Exhibitions and Public Workshops: Events include two Open Studios, two hands-on resource fairs, two workshops in Presidio Park, ten Labyrinth Studios workshops, and one end-of-year survey. Brings families from diverse communities together through creativity; c) Apprenticeship Program: Activities include staff development meetings, youth and parent meetings, school art supplies inventory and organization, and staging artwork presentation for ArtSeeds annual art exhibition. Gave youngsters real-world economic experiences. Connected three aspiring artists with experienced artists in long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that included access to a 3-week Fine Arts Summer Intensive and a day-long Art-a-thon. Served approx. 500 participants.
